LASER TATTOO REMOVAL
At Laser U, we offer the best in technology with our brand new picosecond laser machine. We know the fear and reputation that comes with laser tattoo removal being painful and taking up to 15+ sessions. That is primarily associated with the older technology of the nanosecond (Q-switched) machines. They are still used today but picosecond machines have been the industry standard for many years now.
Nanosecond (Q-switched) machines use photothermolysis/heat to break down tattoo ink causing the treatments to be more painful, have a higher risk of damage to the tattooed area/surrounding tissue, require more recovery time between treatments plus more treatments overall, thus making your tattoo removal journey longer and most likely more expensive. On occasion you might find nano (Q-switched) machine treatments priced a bit cheaper than the new pico machine treatments, but, it's not cheaper in the long run.
Picosecond machines use photoacoustics/speed/sound to shatter the tattoo ink into tiny particles making the treatments less painful, having a much lower risk of damaging tissue, requiring less down time between visits, and less treatments overall, meaning a quicker and less expensive final result in removing unwanted tattoos. Because we are not a med spa, we can not provide medical grade numbing creams. If needed, you can easily get a prescription from your Dr for creams that are much more effective than the standard, over the counter (and usually ineffective) tattoo numbing creams. We will use ice/ice packs when requested to make the treatment more tolerable. Although there will be discomfort of getting a tattoo removed no matter which machine is used, and it being far less with a pico machine, using a numbing cream for 45-90 minutes before coming for a treatment will help with the more sensitive areas.
Our 3 wavelengths (1064/532/755) allow us to remove tattoos of all colors. Whether you are looking to fade a tattoo for a cover-up, reshape a tattoo, or completely remove it, we have the machine and the people to help you achieve the best results possible.

OUR CAREPLAN
We don't just focus on the treatment, we also prioritize pre and post care support. We will guide you on how to care for your skin post-treatment. Since the first 3 days after treatment are most important, we will send you off with 2 extra days of post treatment products to make sure you have time to get more just in case you don't already have the products at home. it is important to note that the area being treated should not be tanned before we start.
